10 reasons why you should go to Atlantis this weekend

Atlantis is one of the greatest music gatherings Australia has ever seen, that’s a fact. It’s an event not to be missed and here are 10 reasons why…

#1 Orjan Nilsen premieres new DJ Governor

Aussie trance addicts, if you are not attending Atlantis 2016 this year you should highly reconsider, Orjan Nislen will premiere brand new material under his ‘DJ Governor’ alias.

With his ‘DJ Governor’ moniker, Orjan brings euphoric and deep energetic feels to his productions – Australia, you better prepare for the moment the music hero drops the stunning new track.

#2 An emotional experience with ‘Anahera’

Experience it first at Atlantis, the moment when the legendary Ferry Corsten drops “Anahera” for the very first time under his ‘Gouryella’ alias.

When the moment occurs, we highly recommend you put your phone down and experience the euphoric moment with the thousands of trance lovers around you – it will be a moment you’ll never forget.

#3 Giuseppe Ottaviani will bring his live 2.0 concept to Australia for the first time ever

The Live 2.0 concept is an evolution of his previous ‘Live 1.0’ performance concept wherein he recreated his original productions using live instruments onstage.

With the Live 2.0 setup, Ottaviani is now able to incorporate layers of sound so that he is actually creating new music in real-time. The resulting symphony consists of dancefloor-shaking original Ottaviani productions with live elements – strings, keys, percussion or effects, played spontaneously – so that no two shows are identical.

In the middle of a test run of his new tech set-up Live 2.0, the trance maestro created an incredible piece that turned into ‘Musica’ – out on March 14th, 2016 via Black Hole Recordings.

#4 Homegrown hero and Atlantis ambassador takes the stage fresh from ASOT Festival Utrecht

Of course we’re talking about MaRLo! The Aussie trance hero recently took fans on an incredible journey on the main stage at ASOT Festival in Utrecht and even dropped ‘Titans’, the official anthem for Atlantis 2016, which is out now on all digital stores.

‘Titans’ is an absolute beast of a tune, comprised of anthemic energy destined for huge venues across the globe. The Australian high-flyer exhibits how hulking synths, pounding drums, and catchy melodies can spellbind just about anyone through sheer force of impact and tremor-like surges of brilliance.

MaRLo delivers once again, with the mighty ‘Titans’ and we’re absolutely thrilled to see him back at Atlantis this weekend.

#5 Aly & Feels…

What a ride it’s been for the Egyptian masterminds by the name of Aly & Fila, from gracing BBC Radio 1 with their incredible Essential Mix to performing at The Great Pyramid of Giza.

Throughout the years, the Egyptian Trance champions took their highly energetic performances to the most illustrious venues and events in the world, have churned out a legion of Trance classics, and have given the brightest of talents a chance to shine on their own imprints: Future Sound Of Egypt and Future Sound Of Egypt Excelsior.

Be prepared to be taken on an incredible journey and don’t hesitate to hold tears back, we know there’ll be plenty when Aly & Fila hit the stage at Atlantis this weekend.

#6 This year’s stage design will put ‘Atlantis on the world map’

Matt Chromatic, the creative mastermind behind the Dragon and King of the Castle stage at Defqon.1 and several large scale art works and stages all over the world, has worked hard to create a mind-blowing design for this year’s stage at Atlantis.

We’re unbelievably excited to see the reaction of the crowd, when they see the entire show come together this weekend!

#7 Dutch hotshot David Gravell will warm up the crowd

Still buzzing from A State Of Trance Festival in Utrecht, Dutch hotshot David Gravell will be opening the highly anticipated event at 9pm in Sydney and Melbourne, taking fans on a musical adventure to warm up the night.

Busting out one solid production after another, the global crowds have embraced his unique sound and we’re thrilled to experience another monstrous set from the musical hero, it will surely leave the amassed Trance crowd at Atlantis in awe!
