Legendary act Ferry Corsten responds to Electronic Family’s plan to expand

‘Electronic Family’, Europe’s largest outdoor trance festival, will expand.

Next year the event will be a multi-day event in Den Bosch, titled ‘Electronic Family: The Gathering’. The trance family will also start travelling the world with club tours, various indoor & outdoor events and festivals of one or more days.

“For me Electronic Family is a very special event. It’s a place where trance fans come together to share their passion for the music. I am very thrilled about the plans for the future of the event; a fantastic plan for all fans. I am proud to be a member of the EF family,” responded Ferry Corsten/Gouryella to the news.

The kick-off of the international activity was earlier this month in Tallinn, Estonia, where the very best DJs of the trance scene and the visitors raised the roof.

The expansion of this coming year will be with various indoor and outdoor events and club tours all over the world, such as cities in Europe and in Asia.

In the Netherlands the festival will move from Amsterdam to Den Bosch.

Allan Hardenberg, CEO ALDA (organiser of Electronic Family) explains: “Following six successful editions, Electronic Family will leave the well-known Amsterdamse Bos. We decided on this move because we are able to realise our long-held ambition by expanding Electronic Family into a multi-day event. The Autotron site in Den Bosch is perfectly suited for this, because it includes a camp site and a holiday park.”

The multi-day event was announced in a spectacular fashion before an audience of 13,000 visitors.

Towards the end of the show MC Emma Hewitt called on the ‘trancers’ to join the Electronic Family through the official website, that will then develop into a close-knit trance community.

In the future this trance family will be invited to join in the discussion about the programming of the Electronic Family and will be informed of the latest news before the rest of world.

The sixth edition of Electronic Family again was very successful. Over 13,000 visitors enjoyed the trance spectacle performed on four stages by icons like Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella and Markus Schulz.

More info on all upcoming events will be released soon.
