Ahead of MaRLo’s performance at Istoria in Melbourne this weekend, we caught up with the Aussie Trance powerhouse to talk about his future productions and that collab with Armin van Buuren we’ve all been waiting for since that time they hit the studio back in late 2015.
On their days off from touring with Stereosonic in Australia, the two producers joined forces in the studio and started working on an exciting new record.
“We almost finished it to be honest, but then he had to start working on his album, and then I had my Altitude shows, then he had his Armin Only tour, so we’ve both been absolutely flat out with other projects,” MaRLo said.
“I had a good chat with him the other day and we definitely want to finish that collab, but I think we’re going to start a whole new one, start a new fresh idea to get excited about rather than trying to finish one that we started more than a year ago now.”
With Armin van Buuren’s legendary sound and MaRLo’s trademark drive, there’s no doubt this collab will be monstrous!
In the meantime, fans can expect to hear new tracks from MaRLo during his sets at Istoria which kicks off in Melbourne this Sunday, followed by a spectacular show at Sydney Showgrounds on Saturday March 18.
