You’re hitting the road with Godskitchen this month in Australia – how excited are you to be playing at the final Godskitchen ever in Australia?

We love the scene in Australia and now we have privilege to play with one of the dance music history’s legendary club brands! Needless to say we feel beyond excited, and the Allphones Arena in Sydney is not a bad venue either haha!

What can fans expect from your upcoming sets at Godskitchen? Will you be playing any new material?

We have been making so much new music in the last 6 months, it’s crazy! We have scheduled quite a few new releases for summer so yeah, there will be plenty of new stuff to play! Sied Van Reil and David Gravel’s remixes of ‘Komorebi’ just came out and we have a new track, which Armin has been hammering for the last 8 weeks, out early May too. Besides testing all the new stuff, we are going to play some classics too, for sure!

Speaking of new material, you recently released the peak-time stormer ‘Moonbow’ on Armind Recordings – What is the inspiration behind ‘Moonbow’?

We wanted to bring the energy back to our tracks. ‘Moonbow’ is a good example of driving bassline, lush and epic breakdown with the big build up and ‘drop’ that releases all the excitement. We have been playing this sometime and it feels great to have it released on one of our all-time favourite labels, Armind!

After ten years of incredible releases on Anjunabeats, you’ve both embarked on a new venture, aligning yourselves with Armada Music’s Armind imprint – how does it feel to be part of the Armada family?

To be honest, it feels great! It’s good to have new and fresh people around you. Somehow they always inspire and motivate you to do your best again and again. And because of this, the creativity is 110% in the studio. We have actually been doing wider range of music but still keeping that Super8 & Tab core sound there, just like we always have been, but we haven’t turned our back to Anjunabeats! As you mentioned, we have been there for some time so we feel we are part of the Anjuna Family too.

What made you both decide that it was time for you to release your productions with Armind?

Somehow we just felt its time to release music on other labels too. We love Anjunabeats, after all we have been there almost from the day one. But everyone now and then change is good and now was the right time for it.

When did your love for trance music start?

Not sure if it was called trance back in the days but those trance elements was clearly there! Years 1996-1999 was a big year for trance which change the game for good and Godskitchen has been playing important part of creating the trance scene we know these days.

You’re both heroes to many fans across Australia and young producers out there. Who are your heroes? Which artists inspire you these days?

Every new track inspires us to create and test something new. SuperTab radio is a good platform to listen a lot of music. Even though its only a 60 minute show, twice a month, we listen to hundred’s of tracks weekly. Some of those tracks maybe not been played during the show or be part of our DJ sets but we still keep those tracks on our playlist. We think its good to listen to a wide range of music and go across the genres. You always find something new from there!

What’s the next move for Super8 & Tab production-wise? Are there any big projects you’re working on that you’d like to share with us?

During the time when we are in Australia we are going to release our next production. We are so hyped about it, we cannot wait for all of you to hear it! Actually, I’m sure most of you already have but just don’t know it haha!

What’s the most exciting part about having a career in music?

I think in general we haven’t lived better days than what we all have now! It’s crazy how fast the scene has been growing in the past 10 years and we are lucky to be part of it no matter what you do. Everyone gets their share of it! Clubbers, promoters, producers, DJ’s, club owners and technical guys, you name it. It’s a cliché to say that music speaks many languages but it’s so true. We can play around the world and get that same reactions and emotions on the dance floor no matter where we go. Music has unified us.

Any last words to your Aussie fans?

We are so hyped to come back to Australia! We hope to see many of you at the shows or on the streets of Sydney or Melbourne!

What do you think?
