10 episodes to go until Armin van Buuren reaches huge ASOT 1000 milestone

WOW!

Armin van Buuren / ASOT

The countdown to the big ASOT 1000 episode continues, with just 10 episodes away!

A State Of Trance radio show has come a long way since 2001. What started as an obsession for radio has turned into a weekly highlight for more than 40 million listeners, broadcasting to over 100 FM stations and fans from over 84 countries.

The ASOT milestones are also celebrated each year, and although it seems that plans for a festival-style show have been changed due to the global pandemic, the ASOT 1000 celebration will still go ahead in the ASOT radio studio.

“We’ve been doing this for almost 20 years, and as you all know episode 1000 is coming up and everybody has been asking us, “What are you guys going to do for episode 1000?”, well due to the situation in the world with this terrible virus, plans have changed, but we still have this radio show and we still have this studio,” Armin van Buuren said on ASOT back in July this year.

The 950th festival celebration luckily did go ahead earlier this year and it was a another unique happening that moved us all.

The biggest Trance acts in the world including Armin van Buuren, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Aly & Fila, David Forbes, Ace Ventura, ilan Bluestone, Key4050, Markus Schulz and many more played their heart out to a crowd of 35,000 across various stages at at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Filled with plenty of hands-in-the-air action, tears of joy and many unforgettable highlights!

As part of the lead up to ASOT 1000, Ferry Corsten joined the beloved radio show with an official residency. Every month, the Trance legend takes over hour 2 of the episode to showcase his take on the latest in Trance.

Armin van Buuren and Ruben de Ronde also changed the radio show’s format to give other artists further exposure on the massive platform leading up to the 1000th episode. Armin van Buuren has continued his radio duties throughout hour 1 of the show and hour 2 has been handed over to the new generation of Trance artists, plus many of your Trance favourites.

Fans were also invited to take part in the ‘Road To 1000 – ASOT Top 100 poll’ to reflect upon the past 20 years of the beloved radio show and vote for their favourite ASOT plays of all time. Results will be announced soon.

With a strong focus on the future of Trance, ASOT is bigger than ever!
