Looking back upon 2015, what have been your highlights and biggest successes?

“My highlight would be, Performing at Sunrise Music Festival in Mexico, April this year.”

“Biggest successes in 2015, I have two, first is Polling #22 in the ITM awards and second is my collaboration track with Jinus – WAR MACHINE charting #002 overall on the Beatport Trance Charts”

How did it feel to be placed in this year’s inthemix Top 50?

“To be honest I was overwhelmed, to see my name appear on the big screen with number 22 I felt so grateful. Last year (2014) unfortunately I missed out, however this year made up for it, to see the support from your hometown is such a great temperature check “I must be doing something right”

“All jokes aside, I thank everyone that supported and voted for me.”

Which artists inspired you when growing up and what was the first trance record you ever bought?

“Growing up I was inspired by Armin Van Buurenn, Ferry Corsten, Tiesto ,Paul Van Dyk.”

“My first ever dance/trance record I purchased was Chicane featuring Bryan Adams – ‘Don’t Give Up’, I still have the original single and is still my favourite song today.”

Name one goal we can expect Andru Ballota to achieve in the next five years?

One of my goals are to perform in more than 1 country for New Years Eve on different time zones. To celebrate more then 1 count down.”

If you had to pick a few adjectives to describe what you’d like clubbers to experience when you’re behind the decks, what would they be?

“Airborne (my own trance slogan), Emotion, Happy, Alive/taken on a journey”

What’s the next move for you? Can we expect singles/remixes, an album, or both?

“I definitely have some new music coming, I am so excited and cannot wait for them to be released for everyone to enjoy.”

“I have just finished mixing my first CD compilation, which is something that I’ve always wanted to do. In this compilation, I have featured tracks that have inspired me this year, with my new music. The compilation is out now!”

“I also have a few Radio guest mixes coming up in a few countries such as Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Brazil and Australia.”

“I’ve also just started a project which I can’t say much at the moment, but when I can you guys will be the first to know!”
