Event organisers across the world have been cancelling or postponing large gatherings due to the on-going global pandemic, and now Australia’s Festival X have announced the cancellation of their much-anticipated 2020 tour.
After last year’s highly successful launch across Australia, Festival X was shaping up to be another massive edition and a summer highlight for Aussie dance music lovers. Last year’s festival hosted some of the biggest names in electronic dance music including Armin van Buuren, MaRLo, Giuseppe Ottaviani Live 2.0, Cosmic Gate, Futurecode, Ruben de Ronde, Vini Vici, Calvin Harris, Alison Wonderland, Lil Pump, Trippie Redd, Steve Aoki and many more.
“We have been closely monitoring the local and global situation and out of an abundance of caution for fans, artists, partners, crew and staff, it has become clear that it is not possible for this year’s event to go ahead this December as planned. We thank the Festival X community for your continued support, loyalty and hope you stay safe. We will be back stronger than ever in 2021!” organisers said in a press release.
