Australia’s Festival X have announced the postponement of their much-anticipated 2021 tour.

After 2019’s highly successful launch across Australia, Festival X was shaping up to be another massive edition in 2020, but due to the on-going global pandemic, the massive gathering was rescheduled for this year.

With the current COVID-19 situation in Australia, organisers have now had to also postpone the 2021 tour.

“We would love nothing more than to bring you the Festival X we all love, but with the vaccine roll out progressing more slowly than we’d like, and due to ongoing uncertainties and challenges that Covid presents, it’s going to be impossible this year. By next year, the majority of the population will be vaccinated, international talent will be able to enter the country freely, and we will be able to put on a Festival X, bigger like you’ve never seen before,” organisers said in a press release.

In 2019, Festival X hosted some of the biggest names in electronic dance music including Armin van Buuren, MaRLo, Giuseppe Ottaviani Live 2.0, Cosmic Gate, Futurecode, Ruben de Ronde, Vini Vici, Calvin Harris, Alison Wonderland, Lil Pump, Trippie Redd, Steve Aoki and many more.

“Our thoughts are with any of you effected by the recent outbreak and those doing it tough in lockdown. We thank the Festival X community for your continued love, support, loyalty – stay safe. See you next year!”
