MaRLo set to blow the roof off Istoria next week

Next to being named Australia’s #1 DJ, there’s another thing that makes MaRLo stand out. It’s his incredible sound.

The ever-growing reputation of MaRLo will once again be confirmed when he performs at Istoria next week, taking fans on a mind-blowing adventure.

“It’s going to be awesome, I can’t wait, Istoria is replacing Atlantis and those shows were absolutely incredible, the best vibe, really good production, so I can’t wait to come back for them, It’s going to be really good,” says MaRLo.

In a recent interview with The Trance Project, the Aussie hero has revealed he’ll be playing a lot of new tracks that were premiered during his set at ASOT Festival 2017, and he’ll drop a few other exclusives that were made just for Istoria.

“For every big show, I try and make new tracks that no one has heard before, especially for this show.”

Check out our catch up with MaRLo below and grab tickets to Istoria Melbourne & Istoria Sydney.

Your stunning sound has captured the hearts of thousands across the nation, inspiring many Aussie newcomers. Which artists inspire you?

The main person who has influenced me probably has to been Armin van Buuren. Without his support for all these years now, I don’t think I would be where I am right now. Of course it takes the audience that really push you up to that level, and show their support and coming to your events and listening to your music, but I think Armin has helped me a lot in exposing my music to so many people through his ASOT radio show.

What can we expect from you in the near future production-wise? Any exciting things your fans should be looking forward to? Any new singles, perhaps an album?

Yes I think I might do an album towards the end of the year! First things first, I want to start on my own label, and then of course I want to focus a lot of my attention on my own ‘Altitude’ concept show, which I’m taking worldwide as well. But it would be awesome to do an album, just so you got an outlet as well to show people music that might not necessary be a single.

What’s the best part about having a career in music?

To wake up and do what you love. For me, that’s the true meaning of success actually, to do what u love to do with your life, and it doesn’t matter about anything else really. I feel like that’s the key to success doing what you love to do. I wake up every morning, I go in the studio and I work on music, which is a dream come true for me. It took me many years to get to a point where music would become my career, there were many years where I still had to work a part time job.

What do you love most about our scene Down Under?

The passion that we’ve got in Australia in Trance at the moment is absolutely incredible, to take out the inthemix #1 placing as a Trance DJ is just unheard of, so it’s just really awesome. I think it’s been like 6 years since tyDi took out the number 1, which was the only other Trance DJ that has ever done it before, so it’s just really incredible how much the scene has grown.

Would you like to share any words with all your die-hard fans in Australia?

The fans are so passionate and their support just means the world to me, and i’m just so thankful and blessed to have them show that support. I really appreciate it, it means a lot to me.
