We all have them, trance songs that seem to speak right to that secret place in your soul. They can heal you, fill you up and inspire you.
For trance fan Angela Jane, MaRLo’s vocal hit “Haunted” touched her heart after witnessing Jano’s live performance of the single in Australia two years ago.
“Almost exactly two years ago I was traveling in Australia when I got the message that my father had passed away. I had tickets to see MaRLo a few days later, and had to make the difficult decision about when to fly home. In the end, I decided to wait until after the show.”
“That night MaRLo opened his set with his lovely wife Jano singing Haunted live. With arms wrapped around me, my friend’s and I sang along with her. Blanketed with love I knew I had made the right decision.”
“Over the next weeks the lyrics to Haunted became my mantra. It is my mantra to this day, so much so that this line in the track is permanently etched across my ribs.”
After learning about Angela’s connection with “Haunted”, MaRLo recently invited her on stage to sing the chorus with him, creating an unforgettable moment.
“In that moment the lyrics took on a new meaning for me, no longer a funeral hymn. Any lingering bits of heartache melting away. Thank you seems like such a meek a thing to say, but I do thank him with all my heart for deciding to seize & create a special moment.”
“It will forever inspire me to take the opportunity do the same for those around me.”
