Menno de Jong to live-stream MASSIVE 6-HOUR SET from Sydney Harbour

Absolute LEGEND!

Menno de Jong and Mainstage Events to keep music alive amid COVID-19 pandemic with a special live-stream tonight.

After Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a ban on Wednesday of “non-essential” organised mass gatherings of more than 100 people, in an attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19, Mainstage Events had no choice but to cancel Menno de Jong’s final ever Sydney show at Universal Nightclub tonight.

Nevertheless, Menno de Jong and Mainstage Events are still banding together to prove that the show must go on with a special broadcast of his marathon 6-hour set LIVE from Sydney Harbour.

Kicking off at 5PM until 11PM (AEDT 🇦🇺), with a possible encore hour, the Trance legend will drop your favourite Classic Trance tracks from the past 20 years via mennosolo.livestreaming.com.au

Dedicating a lot of effort into perfecting his final 6-hour set, he didn’t want to leave Sydney without a proper goodbye that fans truly deserve, so organisers are asking ticket holders to please consider donating your ticket to Menno de Jong.

For fans who want to support Menno de Jong’s live-stream of his final ever DJ set in Sydney, you can give a donation here.

“These funds will go to cover the cost of his tour, travel, accommodation, visa, artist management, broadcasting licences, new venue hire, production, and also to Menno de Jong in lieu of his artist fee,” organisers say.

For everyone that would like to obtain a refund of their ticket, an email from Ticketbooth will be sent out to you on Monday March 23, 2020 providing information on how to request this.

Hi guys, as you might know I’ve been in Australia for about two weeks now. Unfortunately the developments in Sydney with the government and venue in light of Covid-19 mean that we cannot go ahead with the event as originally planned. Such a huge bummer, but as a consolation we have something incredibly special for you: I will be playing my entire Menno Solo – Farewell Tour set from a breathtaking location, as a LIVE VIDEO BROADCAST, made possible by the clubbers of Sydney. Several of them have kindly offered not to ask for a ticket refund so that we can cover the costs of the new venue, broadcast facilities, DJ gear, travel, accommodation costs, marketing and more. We can’t thank them enough for supporting the Trance scene, promoter and myself in these difficult times.⠀ ⠀ The broadcast will be THIS FRIDAY from 5pm – 11pm Sydney time / 7:00-13:00 CET / 11pm – 5am PST. Link to be provided HERE on the day and in my stories…⠀ ⠀ This weekend’s show in Brisbane will go ahead with reduced capacity over two days. With what’s going on right now around the world these might be my last performances for a while. Hence, if you would like to support this broadcast and myself, please consider buying a ticket for the live broadcast show here: http://bit.ly/mennosolo2020, or Brisbane through my website.⠀ ⠀ Thank you and I hope you enjoy the set, from wherever you are 🙏🏻💕
