ReOrder opens up about his love and passion for Trance music

“Trance is the only kind of music that I know that gives you everything your feelings need,” ReOrder exclusively tells The Trance Project.

Constantly creating solid productions and touring across the globe, ReOrder is undoubtedly one of the most talented trance acts in our scene today and he’s heading to Sydney on Friday November 18 for his massive 3-hour set at The Bank Hotel, supported by Tygris, BB and Banana Bros  Grab tix here.

In an exclusive interview, he told The Trance Project that Trance is his life, “it shapes it, refills it with energy, gives hope for future and heals past wounds.”

Read the full interview below as ReOrder opens up about his love for Trance, Australia and reveals what fans can expect from his highly anticipated show in Sydney this month.

We’re thrilled to see you back in Australia next month, how excited are you for the Sydney show?

I couldn’t be more excited! It will be almost 2 years since I was in Sydney the first time and I have the best memories! It will also be my first extended mix, I don’t remember ever playing for longer that 2.5 hours. 3 hours is bit of a challenge for me when I think of how much I tend to move on stage.

What do you love most about Australia’s Trance scene?

Its consistency, in terms of understanding the music, the Aussie crowd is really educated and they know the tracks. The first singalong to my own music happened in Australia, that really changes your perspective. They also know how to go wild and crazy. I love coming back to Australia even if it’s so far away!

What can fans expect from your massive 3-hour extended set in Sydney?

I have no idea! Every mix and every gig is different, lets see what comes up, but I can promise you a real DisOrder, together with many new singles I have in store for you guys.

What is it like when you look out at the crowd at that sea of people and everyone is pulsing to the music that you are playing?

Its very emotional and energetic, it gives your work meaning. You can see straight away that what you are doing makes some sense. It makes people move, dance and sing. I always see myself as part of the crowd so I go crazy with them.

Constantly producing solid productions, what inspires you to create mind-blowing tunes?

Thank you! My biggest inspiration is my fiancé and our two dogs, but I get inspired by life itself and situations around me as well. Sometimes it is a simple coffee out on a sunny Sunday afternoon and other times it can occur on stage.

I got the idea of my single “Love Again” while playing in Melbourne to a crowd of about 3,000. You never know when the inspiration strikes, you just need to make sure to note it down.

You recently announced the release of an artist album in 2017! What can fans expect from the album and how long have you been working on it so far? Will you be collaborating with any artists on the album?

It’s all shrouded by a mystery, at this point it’s in the stage of just ideas. I am noting every idea that pops up in my mind down. I’d really like to make it as intuitive as possible. All the ideas and melodies must come from heart. I already have some written down and it’s shaping nicely.

It will be a dance album of course but not entirely focused on one genre. I’ve produced a variety of styles in the past and I’d like to incorporate all the years of experience in this album.

It will be my first one and I want to make it special.

Can we look forward to a lot more single releases?

Of course, especially on FSOE where I tend to release my tracks. Some remixes and collaborations are coming out soon as well. I just don’t want to release too much, I am very judgemental to my own tracks. More of an OCD when it comes to my own work, so unless it is 110% it stays hidden in the dark corners of my studio mac.

What does Trance mean to you?

I get asked this question often and most of the time my answer differs a bit.

As you go through life you see things in different perspectives, but trance is the only kind of music that I know that gives you everything your feelings need. It gives you hope in hard times of your life, it strengthens your determination to do things, makes you happy when you are sad, makes you nostalgic while driving your car on a high-way during a sunny day.

Trance is my life, it shapes it, refills it with energy, gives me hope for the future and heals past wounds.

Apart from music, what are your other passions in life?

My fiancé Sarka of course, I just love spending my free time with her, we are like one. Our two chihuahuas, you would not believe how intelligent these creatures are. I love cooking, especially when trying to cook or bake something new, it became sort of a hobby to relax from everyday studio kick banging. And I love travelling, visiting new places and meeting new exciting people.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your die-hard Aussie fans?

I’m honestly looking forward to seeing you guys Down Under again. You guys have showed the world that Trance is more alive than ever before. So until next month, don’t forget to spread love & peace with Trance music.

See you all soon!
