With Istoria less than a week to go, what’s going through your mind right now?

I can’t hardly explain how I feel right now. It’s such a special feeling. I can’t wait to show the world what I’ve been working on for the last year. For me personally it’s really something I’ve been looking forward to. To be able to preview this at Australia’s biggest trance event and share it with my fans is unbelievable. I can’t wait.

How excited are you to present the world premiere of your new project ‘Sander van Doorn presents P.Haze 1 & 2’ in Australia?

It feels great! It’s as if all things just fell in to place. I’ve been really reinventing myself on a musical level and it felt as the right time for me to give myself the opportunity to explore my different artistic side and express this darker side of me.

What can we expect from your sets?

Expect a “darker and rougher feel”. Since this is a separate project it will create a different vibe on the dance floor than you might expect from me. I love it that I don’t have to worry if it fits the sound of my Sander van Doorn persona as an artist and that I’m able to express myself through this alter ego. The whole project is an ongoing process where I want to lay down a foundation for this sound and to build on that together with my fans.

How does it feel to be returning to the Trance scene with your new project at Istoria 2017?

It feels amazing, especially since it’s something completely new and I’ll be able to show a different side of me. It all started out with me experimenting and exploring my darker side. For me as a musician it’s important to experience the sense of freedom while creating music and trying out different paths.

Would you like to share any words to all your die-hard fans in Australia?

I’m so excited to be coming back to Australia. I can’t wait. Especially since I’ll be sneak previewing this incredible new project I’ve been working so extremely hard on for the past year. It’s going to be something special and I can’t think of a better audience to share this brand-new show with for the very first time other than the Aussies. You guys are incredible, the amount of love I get from the fans over here is indescribable.
