‘Sandstorm’ hitmaker Darude to represent Finland at Eurovision 2019

Darude fans rejoice!

Darude, the mastermind behind the 20-year-old dance anthem ‘Sandstorm’, will represent Finland at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Brace yourself and prepare for a kick-ass performance from the multi-platinum, award-winning producer/DJ.

Teaming up with The Giant Leap band singer, Sebastian Rejman, the duo will release three songs next month, with just one track to be chosen by the public, along with a judging panel, to represent Finland at Eurovision 2019 in May.

Darude promises to deliver a mind-blowing experience with the chosen track, bringing the atmosphere and visuality of his DJ gigs to the Eurovision stage, plus an admirable live element through Sebastian Rejman’s vocals.

“This is a huge challenge for me in many ways. When I was asked to represent Finland I felt a bit scared at first, but there was no way I could say no to my country! It is an honour to be part of this incredible experience and I only have positive expectations!” Darude said in a press release.

The winner of Eurovision 2019 will be chosen through two Semi-Finals on May 14 and 16, and a Grand Final on May 18.

It’s Darude for Finland this year!
