Sneijder shares his love of Australia’s Trance music scene

We caught up with Sneijder ahead of his huge Sydney show!

If anyone has kept the harder sounds of Trance alive throughout recent years, it’s Irish DJ/producer, Sneijder.

With a gripping sound that builds on edgy textures, euphoric soundscapes and jaw-dropping beats, the Tech Trance powerhouse will hold nothing back when he hits the stage at Sydney’s Home The Venue this Friday for the launch of new Aussie Trance event concept, Polygon.

In the past few years, Sneijder has earned a place in the very heart of Australia’s Trance society, keeping the energy on Aussie dance floors at fever pitch every time he tours Down Under.

“Its great to be back in Australia, which has without a doubt become one of my favourite places to play in the world very quickly,” Sneijder exclusively told Trance Project in a recent interview ahead of his massive Sydney show.

“Over the years the Australian crowd have been very loyal to me and my sound, which is great for me, knowing I can be comfortable in my tune selections on the night,” he says.

Sneijder urges fans to “buckle up” for his hard-hitting performance this Friday! For veterans and newcomers alike, his set will offer great future memories.

We’re thrilled to have you back in Australia, especially for your performance at Sydney’s newest Trance event, Polygon! How excited are you and what can Aussie fans expect from your highly-anticipated set?

It’s great to be back in Australia, which has without a doubt become one of my favourite places to play in the world very quickly.

My sets are never planned, but the tracks I play are always high tempo with the focus being on energy and the dance floor, whether its uplifting or tech trance it has to have pace and energy.  The tracks i’m spinning right now are a mix of some new exclusives from producers I like and Afterdark artist, the label has some amazing music lined up.

You’ve played across Australia throughout the years, what do you think separates the Aussie Trance crowd from the rest of Trance society and what do you love most about our scene?

The energy for sure, the Oz crowd love it fast and hard, this suits me perfectly as that’s the vibe that I also love to play as a DJ and make as a producer.

Yes, over the years the Australian crowd have been very loyal to me and my sound which is great for me knowing I can be comfortable in my tune selections on the night.

How connected do you feel to your Aussie fans? Are there any other standout incidents you’ve had with your fans that you’d like to tell us about or what are some of the unique experiences you’ve had in Australia?

All my biggest tech trance tracks have been debuted first to the Oz crowds, as I feel they are the bench mark for the harder edge stuff reaction wise, ‘Polarize’, ‘Neutralize’ and ‘Decimate’ where all debuted at major shows in Oz, and the response from them all was amazing.  After that I go back to the studio and refine them, Australia always gets the first test!

What’s next for you production-wise? Do you have any big production plans for the rest of 2019 that your fans should know about?

My next single ‘Resonate’ will be out Monday 30th September, its been big in all my latest sets, I debuted it at ASOT900 Utrecht.  I have 2-3 new tech records also nearly done and a huge official classic remix for Armada. I am also working on a new vocal project which is near there. Always staying busy, lots of new material across the board on the way.

Would you like to share any final words for all your die-hard Aussie fans?

Yes, buckle up, you know i’m going hard, see you guys soon.
