Sundown Festival kicks off 2017 to an unforgettable start

“With the most epic vibe resonating throughout the night, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate Sundown’s inaugural year,” organisers told The Trance Project.

2017 began with an unbelievable start for Trance fans in Melbourne, as Sundown Festival made its highly anticipated debut on New Year’s Day, showcasing some of the scene’s biggest talents, with sets ranging from Trance hero Simon Patterson to up-and-comers like Shugz.

The new summer festival was an unforgettable celebration of a new year, filled with magical moments, banging beats and plenty of hands-in-the-air action, attracting thousands of party-goers from across the country, spreading the love of music like never before across two areas – the Hard Stage with Tuneboy being one of the most talked about aspects of the night!

Trance powerhouse Aly & Fila and the king of Subculture John O’Callagahan were also back together for another back to back victory, taking fans on a mind-blowing musical journey.

“Our team would like to thank everyone who attended. We couldn’t have done it without the love and support from you all,” organisers told The Trance Project.

After it’s very successful first edition this year and the phenomenal response the festival received, there’s no doubt the festival will be back.

“The people loved it and that’s all that matters!”
