Super8 & Tab on their return to Australia, guilty pleasures & superpowers they wished they had

Super8 & Tab are coming to Australia this week.

Super8 & Tab are set to spoil Aussie fans with three massive sets during the much anticipated Cream Australia 2017 Tour, which kicks off in Sydney this Friday.

As one of the big players of today’s Trance scene, Super8 & Tab are no strangers to delivering mind-blowing moments on the decks, and they’re bringing their far-famed sound to Sydney on May 26, Melbourne on June 2 and Perth on June 3. Get ready for pure melodies, pounding beats and euphoria!

We recently caught up with Super8 & Tab members Miika and Janne, and drafted up some fun questions for them to answer. Here is our catch up with the talented duo.

Which superpower would you choose for the other and why?

Janne: Time travel! It would be so cool to just move yourself from one place to another in no time. Miika could do so many more gigs 🙂
Miika: Immortality. The world is changing so fast and it just gets faster so I’d like to be there to see all the madness.

If your life was a movie, what tunes would be on the soundtrack?

Janne: Underworld – Born Slippy, Michael Jackson – Thriller, Prodigy – Out of Space
Miika: Jean Sibelius – Finlandia, Prodigy – Diesel Power, William Orbit – Barbers Adagio (Ferry Corsten Remix)

If you had to pick, would you choose to spend the rest of your life touring or producing music?

Janne: Producing music, but i really love to travel and see the world too.
Miika: Producing. I love playing gigs, but making music is my even bigger love.

Who would be your once-in-a-lifetime back-2-back performance, if you could choose?

Janne: Mr. Trump. He seems like a funny guy 🙂
Miika: DJ Orkidea and that’s actually possible. He’s such a great DJ, so it would be great.

Which three items are an essential part of your touring gear?

Janne: Laptop, music and headphones.
Miika: Laptop. iPhone. Headphones.

What’s your ultimate guilty pleasure?

Janne: Chocolate dessert!
Miika: Finnish chocolate, Fazer Blue.

If you had to choose would you do festivals or club gigs only?

Janne: If i really have to choose: club gigs. You are closer to to your audience and you can really feel the excitement from the crowd on your skin!
Miika: Just to add some variety I’ll say festivals. That energy you get out of a sea of people is insane.

If you could meet anyone in the world dead or alive who would it be and what would say to them?

Janne: It would be interesting to collab with Moby.
Miika: The first humans who inhabited Finland. I’d really like to ask why anyone with the technology of current times would like to move to a country which gets so cold during winter. It’s fine now when we have nice warm houses, but seriously. Back then. They hardly knew the concept of fire.

No sleep or no social media?

Janne: No sleep.
Miika: No social media.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your Aussie fans?

Janne & Miika: We absolutely cannot wait to be back in Australia and play some new tunes we have been working on lately. See you all very soon!
