The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint dies aged 49 after being found unconscious at his home in Essex on Monday morning.
The iconic singer, famously known for his vocal performances on ‘Firestarter’ and ‘Breathe’, became one of the best-known faces of 1990s British electronic music.
An Essex Police spokesman has stated: “We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at just after 8.10am on Monday. We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett has just released a statement on Instagram, confirming Keith Flint died by suicide: “The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend, I’m shell shocked, fuckin angry, confused and heart broken.”
Trance DJ’s across the world including Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren Menno de Jong, Johan Gielen, The Thrillseekers, Ben Gold and more, have taken to Twitter following tragic news to express their condolences.
