Exis talks exclusive with The Trance Project about the inspiration behind his debut track on the Who’s Afraid Of 138?! label.
Australia’s Exis has more than once proven to be riding diversity and this ravaging piece of Trance is sure wake the world’s most fierce ravers from their slumber for a bit of fist-pump madness.
Tearing through anything with its lacerating bassline and punchy beats, ‘The Count’ is the name and tune we’ll be knowing Aussie hotshot Exis by from now on.
“There’s no doubt psy is growing here in Melbourne. You will hear it at any trance night you go to. On one of the nights in my studio, I decided to make something different to what I usually make, which is big room trance, so I loaded up a fresh new project and I started playing around with psy sounds whilst incorporating my big room synths.” Exis told The Trance Project.
“Then I spent three whole days going through vocal packs to see what kind of vocal chops I could come up with! I thought having a female counting down from 10 to 1 was pretty cool, not something you hear everyday. Fast forward to a few weeks later and my first big room psy track was born and signed on Armada’s sub label Who’s Afraid Of 138?!”
