Our Incredible Trance Experience in Melbourne

We’ve felt the love. We were moved by the passion of Melbourne’s trance family.

It has been a stellar year for trance events in Melbourne, in particular for the team at Trancegression Events, kicking off the year with legendary trance act, 4 Strings – providing an incredible intimate show at Room 680, an experience Melbourne trance fans will never forget.

Having successfully staged previous shows for Manuel Le Saux and Darren Porter, the team decided to bring the two trance heroes back to Australia earlier this year, as part of Manuel’s 400th episode celebration tour of his radio show, Extrema.

The energy and love that we felt during Extrema 400 was incredible…a night filled with hands-in-the-air action, incredible sets, the warm melodies and a dancefloor filled with genuine trance fans from across the city.

Being only the second time we’ve stepped into a Melbourne trance event, we were amazed of the extreme friendliness from Melbourne’s trance family. The passion they have for the genre is amazing. And it weren’t only the clubbers that left a positive impact, but the incredible crew at Trancegression Events, making us feel part of their own trance family.

We were lucky enough to even meet trance-media extraordinaire, Viktor Kidson (Kidson Media Production) who filmed several interviews throughout the Melbourne tour – click here to watch the interviews.

The night after Extrema 400, we joined Manuel, Darren and Pinkque at Sanctuary Saturdays hosted by Evolution Events, for yet another night filled with love and passion for trance. The night featured an exclusive trance classic set from the mastermind of Extrema, Manuel Le Saux, and a powerful B2B set with Darren Porter and Pinkque – our minds were blown!

Without hesitation, when Trancegression locked in their next event, we booked our trip to Melbourne immediately and experienced Neptune Project’s five-hour set…packed with devoted fans from across the city and a great number of Sydney-siders, sharing their love for the harder style of trance.

Divided into two areas, the Trancegression event became the playground of some of Melbourne’s finest DJ’s and Neptune Project’s set was mind-blowing, playing tracks from some of the biggest names in the past and present scene: Tiesto’s ‘Suburban Train’, Indecent Noise’ rework of ‘Everywhere I Go’ – Space Brothers, ‘Gouryella’ – Gouryella, Simon Patterson’s ‘Always’, and other tracks from Bryan Kearney, Super8 & Tab, Ferry Corsten and even Adam Dean’s re-edit of the classic, ‘Silence’ – Delrium. His set was also filled with Neptune Project’s own remixes and originals – a personal highlight…‘Shine on The Dark Side of The Moon (Neptune Project Remix)’ – Pink Floyd.

Thank you #TeamTrancgression for the incredible adventure, and Melbourne, you should be proud – you have one of the friendliest scene’s we’ve ever experienced.
