Less than a week to go until Solarstone, Giuseppe Ottaviani (LIVE), Orkidea & Sied van Riel hit our shores for the Pure Trance Australia tour, kicking off in Melbourne this Friday at Level 3 Crown Casino, followed by a massive show at Sydney’s Metro Theatre this Saturday. The festivities will kick on in Brisbane and Perth next weekend – secure your tickets here.
For those that witnessed last year’s edition of Pure Trance events across the country will need little formal introduction. Pure Trance is a club night concept, created & hosted by trance pioneer Solarstone himself.
Richard Mowatt aka Solarstone is responsible for some of the biggest classics in trance history. The UK producer/DJ didn’t only bring us the seminal classics ‘Solarcoaster’, ‘Like A Waterfall’ and ‘Jump The Next Train’ plus more recent anthems ‘The Spell’, ‘Fireisland’ & ‘Jewel’; he’s also one of the masterminds (together with Andy Bury) behind ‘Seven Cities’ – an all-time favourite that won’t fade anytime soon.
Over the years Solarstone has always maintained a keen balance between original production tracks and remix works. Most recently he has worked on remixes of Aly & Fila’s ‘The Other Shore’, Silvermine’s ‘Flying’ and Matt Hollidays’ ‘A New Leaf’. He has also remixed for A-list names like Alex M.O.R.P.H., John O’Callaghan, Armin van Buuren, Delerium, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten & BT.
