Adelaide trance act D6 exclusively reveals 10 tunes that have inspired him throughout his career

Includes tracks from Super8 & Tab, Dan Stone, Jorn van Deynhoven, Manuel Le Saux and more.

We exclusively caught up with Adelaide trance act D6 and he revealed 10 tracks that have inspired him the most throughout his career.

“These are just some of the songs that helped get my love for trance where it is now. From some more progressive tunes in the earlier 2000’s to finding my true love in vocal and uplifting over the last 5-6 years,” he told The Trance Project.

#1 ‘Spirit (WAWA Remix)’ – Chicane

“I first head this song on ASOT way back in 2008 and it peaked my interest, from then on I listened to a few more ASOT episodes and that was it, I was hooked!”

#2 ‘Harvest Moon (Original Mix)’ – Dan Stone

“I heard this track on TATW and it was the first real uplifting tune that I heard and I instantly fell in love with it.”

#3 ‘Elektra (Original Mix)’ – Super8 & Tab

“Another tune I heard on TATW that really fueled my love for trance and uplifting melodies.”

#4 ‘Take It All Away (Original Mix)’ – John O’Callaghan feat. Audrey Gallagher

“I heard Armin play this at We Love Sound festival in Adelaide in 2009, have loved it every since!”

#5 ‘Shine On (Activa Remix)’ – Filo & Peri feat. Eric Lumiere

“I heard this song on The Dancefloor with Andrew Howlett on Fresh while I was driving to work one day and had to wait until his next show to call the station and ask him what it was. Still play it in my sets today!”

#6 ‘La Guitarra (Original Mix)’ – Orjan Nilsen

“Still an absolute belter of a tune, sparked my love for guitar riffs in trance!”

#7 ‘These Shoulders (Oliver Smith Remix)’ – Signalrunners feat. Julie Thompson

“Vocal trance at its finest!”

#8 ‘Without Warning (Suncatcher Remix)’ – Exostate

“One of the early vocal uplifting tunes that really got me into the more uplifting side of trance.”

#9 ‘Nardo (Jorn van Deynhoven Remix)’ – Jorn van Deynhoven & Manuel Le Saux

“One of the biggest influences in my early career was Manuel Le Saux , this one is no exception.”

#10 ‘I Don’t Deserve You (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix)’ – Paul Van Dyk feat. Plumb

“This one just sealed my love for vocal and uplifting trance, still love playing this out today!”
