Melbourne-based act Arkanem reaches Beatport’s Trance releases top 30

“The inspiration for this track arose from my love of progressive trance music,” Arkanem tells The Trance Project.

The Melbourne-based act has reached #24 on Beatport’s Trance Top 100 Releases chart with his massive collaboration “Knowing You’re Out There” with vocalist Amy Kirkpatrick.

The stunning single marks Arkanem’s debut on Above All Records and has been also given the remix treatment by the talented Arctic Quest.

Producing for around 3 years, Arkanem says that he’s only just found his true sound around the start of 2016 and describes his sound as a “combination of my favourite elements of trance, mixed with a dash of progressive house.”

“Trance to me, is a huge passion. Even before I started making this music, I was always drawn to its unique tone and feel.”

“When I first heard Markus Schulz’ ‘Destiny’, I was compelled to incorporate something akin to his lush synths and dream-like atmospheres into my latest vocal production. His choice of timbre and attention to detail for this track in particular, resonated with me on an almost ethereal level.”
