Trance acts across the world have taken to Twitter following the death of electronic music DJ/producer i_o, real name Garret Falls Lockhart.
i_o passed away on Monday November 23, with no cause of death publicly disclosed. He was 30 years old.
A tweet from management has stated: “The world lost a beautiful soul, Garrett Falls Lockhart, also known as i_o. This extremely talented spirit taught us that even if nothing matters, you can still lead with love. Garrett’s truth and soul lives on through the music he shared. Rest in peace, Garrett. We Love You.”
The Techno star was known amongst the Trance scene for his remix of Above & Beyond’s ‘Alchemy’, his latest Trance rework of ‘Castles In The Sky’ and more countless gems on labels such as mau5trap, inHarmony Music, Spinnin’ Deep and Armada Music.
Trance music artists including Ruben de Ronde, Ben Nicky, Above & Beyond’s Jono Grant, ilan Bluestone, Chris Schweizer, Dave Dresden and more are taking to social media to express their condolences.
