In line with his residency at Omnia, Las Vegas, Armin van Buuren sat down with Vegas Vibe in the incredible venue to talk about his career, his Omnia residency, his record label Armada Music, Festivals and upcoming album.
“I have a whole new album planned that I’m currently finalising in between all the hectic travelling, and there are plans for a new tour but if, how and when…I can’t tell you yet.” Armin reveals in the video.
Armin’s ‘A State of Trance’ is broadcasting to over 100 FM stations, satellite and internet radio and having more than 20 million listeners every week from 74 different countries, his Podcast gets more than 50,000 downloads per week as well. His singles, albums, and compilations routinely reach high chart positions all across the globe, and there’s so much more to come for this legend as he explains in the video.
“Ive already had so many beautiful years, and it looks like its not going to end soon, and I don’t plan on retiring any time soon.”
“I couldn’t really make music and not play it, so maybe you’ll see me behind the decks at 70 years old in Ibiza, in some small bar.”
“I’ll tell you something, you probably wont believe this… at the end of the day, it doesn’t really matter if you play for 20,000 people or 200. Sometimes a gig of 200 people can be more rewarding than playing in front of 20,000 people, even though the rush is of course bigger if you see a stadium with their hands up shouting your name, but if you have a good party – like a beach party – no productions, just two decks and people having an amazing time, that could be fun! Playing when the sun comes up, you don’t want to stop, and that’s the kind of parties we’re all looking for right?”
“I think if you were born a DJ, you’ll definitely die as a DJ.”
