7 Aussie Trance Artists to Watch in July

In this edition we caught up with Delage & Tonto, Willy T,  Serjan, Exis, Andru Ballota, DJ Rob Tech, & Byra.

 

Delage & TontoDelage & Tonto

Delage & Tonto have risen quickly in Australia’s trance scene, releasing their debut single ‘Isle of Skye’ earlier this year on Aria Knights records, and have recently hit the decks for the first time together at Digital Therapy in Sydney, delivering an unforgettable warm-up set. Support has already begun rolling in from trance sensation Ferry Tayle, who recently played their remix of ‘Airwave’ during his incredible set at Sunset Music Festival – have a listen to their version of this classic gem here.

Willy TWilly T

Melbourne’s rising trance artist, Willy T is making the leap to pursue a career in the scene, working on new originals, remixes, and playing right across Melbourne – you can catch him play regularly at Sanctuary Saturdays.

Inspired by Ben Nicky, MaRLo, Bryan Kearney, Simon Patterson, John O’Callaghan and local heroes Josh Lang, H.U.S., Sensualise and Digital Dreamerz, Willy T has received useful advice and constructive criticism from some of these artists to further develop his career as an artist. He’s also recently been placed in the final for earthcore’s DJ competition.

SerjanSerjan

The past five years have seen Serjan transcend the boundaries of genre, creating his own style consisting of psy, trance, soundscape, experimental and progressive with a lot of emotion and energy.

Serjan’s latest EP “Lost in Translation” reached #8 on Beatport’s top 100 releases, which gained him full support from the biggest names in the industry, including Scott Project, M.I.K.E, Dj FEEL, Christopher Lawrence, Will Atkinson, Paul Van Dyk, Bobina,Giuseppe Otaviani, and Talla 2XLC.

He recently hit the decks in Sydney for the Mind Matter Atlas tour and described it as a great experience, and was impressed by the true trance-loving intimate crowd. Aussie fans can catch him play at Earthcore, an event that he’s so proud to be a part of, and is looking forward to playing an entire hour of his own productions.

2015 shows no sign of slowing the pace for one of Melbourne’s most popular DJs. Exis will be behind the decks during Armada Night’s biggest Australia tour to date. Andru BallotaAndru Ballota

Andru Ballota has recently seen great success with the release of ‘War Machine’ with Jinus, hitting #2 on the Beatport trance chart and receiving great support from Dan Thompson. Andru placed #22 in this year’s inthemix50 poll, a great achievement for the Melbourne-based DJ/producer, and his monthly radio show ‘Airborne Radio’ turned 1 this month – listen to the latest episode here.

Byra is an 18 year old Sydney DJ/producer and works with various genres including, Trance and Progressive House. His debut single received a big thumbs up from local legend MaRLo and international artists, Lucky Date and Sander Van Doorn. DJ Rob TechDJ Rob Tech

Sydney electronic dance producer DJ Rob Tech reveals his artist album – ‘ZNXT’. Rob first discovered trance music at a young age, listening to ATB’s album, ‘Movin’ Melodies’, which inspired him to start producing. With so many great albums under his belt, it’s clear that DJ Rob Tech is here to stay.
