Today, Armin van Buuren officially started the road to ASOT 1000 with a very special announcement.
No, he won’t be quitting A State Of Trance anytime soon, but will be changing the radio show’s format to give other artists further exposure on the beloved platform.
Armin van Buuren will continue his radio duties throughout hour 1 of the show and hour 2 will be handed over to the new generation of Trance artists, plus many of your Trance favourites.
With a strong focus on the future of Trance, the new concept will kick off in the next few weeks with artists such as Factor B, AVIRA and Ben Gold.
Along with the new radio show format, Armin van Buuren has also announced Ferry Corsten’s official residency on ASOT. Every month, the Trance legend will take over hour 2 of the show to showcase his take on the latest in Trance.
“Ferry and I have a history that’s been going on for a long, long time, and i’ve been talking a lot with Ruben and with Ferry about the future of Trance music, and Ferry of course his label with Flashover Recordings, he wants to promote new talent as well, so i thought, why not give Ferry a monthly residency in A State Of Trance, and that’s what we’ve been testing these last couple of months,” Armin van Buuren revealed on today’s episode of A State Of Trance.
Due to the current situation in the world, plans have changed for ASOT 1000, but the music will continue to flow from the radio studio with Ferry Corsten’s monthly residency and the exciting new show format.
“To be part of the team is great, i’m really looking forward to a very cool new future of Trance and to see where this is going with all the crazy talent out there. It’s absolutely blowing up right now, because no can DJ, no can do anything, so everyone is making music, there’s so much music out there,” Ferry Corsten said on ASOT today.
The future of ASOT is in safe hands!
