Video Interview – Armin van Buuren: “Music is growing, you cannot stop commercialisation.”

Check out the Armin van Buuren feature on ‘Vegas Vibe’ (NBC-TV) – broadcasted in the lead up to his upcoming sets at Marquee Las Vegas and EDC Las Vegas 2014.

Armin talks ASOT, Armin Only Intense, his music, and shares his views on EDM going mainstream. “It’s something that you and I cannot prevent from happening. Music is growing and you cannot stop commercialisation,” Armin says.

The trance legend also shared a great moment in his career, the time when he first played in the UK:

“It was 5 February 2000, I played at Cream in Liverpool and it was the first time I played in the UK. I got to play the opening set for Seb Fontaine. I remember playing that set and the crowd was ecstatic! I came back to the hotel room and I came to sit on the bath tub and I looked up and thought…this is it – this is what I want to reach, it’s going somewhere now. After that one performance, the other clubs in the UK wanted to book me in the US and the rest is history.”
