Armin van Buuren, the mastermind behind A State Of Trance, has opened a new radio studio in Amsterdam with a focus on taking his much loved show to the next level.

The legendary Trance DJ/producer, together with Ruben de Ronde and a star-studded line-up of guests, hosted a special radio show in Amsterdam on Thursday night (Feb. 2) in celebration of the new studio and reaching 800 episodes.

The show featured special appearances by Rodg, Fisherman & Hawkin, guest mixes from Estiva, Jorn van Deynhoven, Ben Gold and Standerwick, plus a special video with Australia’s Jano, introducing Istoria and its tremendous anthem to the global audience.

Darth Vader and some stormtroopers were also spotted on site hanging with Armin van Buuren as well as the man who gave him the opportunity to host A State Of Trance back in June 2001, ‘Jaydee’ Robin Albers. 

“He is actually the reason why A State Of Trance is here today . . . you gave me the confidence and that is a break that listeners today still enjoy, so thank you, it means so much to me that you are here, ” Armin van Buuren said on air.

Along with the new studio, Armin van Buuren has also changed the show’s format, with hour 1 featuring the newest tunes selected and hour 2 non stop in the mix. 

Each episode will be streamed live (video and audio) from the studio and from time to time fans and artists to drop by during the live show as well.

“We will be able to connect like never before, and I hope you’ll love this new development every bit as much as I do,” Armin van Buuren says.
